Venezuelans held the funeral for President Hugo Chavez on Friday.

Millions of supporters mourned the late President including Raul Castro, Sean Penn, Jessie Jackson, and Venezuelan VP Nicolas Maduro.

Maduro began the ceremony by placing the sword of Simon Bolivar on Chavez's coffin.

"The humble, the poor, the oppressed - We are his living testimony," he said in his eulogy. 

Civil rights activist Jesse Jackson led an Ecumencial prayer for late President :

"We share the same hemisphere, we play ball together, we share dreams together,

Chavez's body will be put on permanent display at the Caracas Military museum.
