Watch : First Trailer for 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom'



The first trailer for the Nelson Mandela biopic, 'Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom,' has been released.

The video features a voice-over from Idris Elba, who plays Mandela in the film, saying:

"I have walked a long way to freedom. It have been a long road, and it's not over yet. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin. People learn to hate. They can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart."

The movie will present the journey of Nelson Mandela from childhood to South Africa's First Black President.

It will open in U.S. theaters on November 29.

Idris Elba is Nelson Mandela in 'Long Way to Freedom' poster



Idris Elba is a trouble maker in the latest poster for Mandela: Long Way Home

The film will follow the Former South African President's journey from teen to international freedom fighter. 

Naomie Harris, Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matzshikiza, Deon Lotz and Tony Pheto will also star in the biopic.

It will hit U.S. theaters on November 29.





Nelson Mandela improvement sustained


Nelson Mandela is continuing to improve after being hospitalized for a recurring lung infection, says current South African President Jacob Zuma.

"We are grateful that he continues to get better," Zuma said. "Over the last two days, although he remains serious, his doctors have stated that his improvement has been sustained."

The Former South African President was admitted to a Pretoria hospital on June 8.

It is his fourth hospital stay since December , leaving many to believe that he may be nearing the end of his legendary life.

Mandela will celebrate his 95th birthday next month.

Former South African President Nelson Mandela is still in the hospital after being admitted for a recurring lung infection.

Mandela was rushed to the hospital on Saturday and was in a 'stable but serious condition.'

The longtime activist has spent a great deal of time in the hospital over the last few years.

Many South Africans believe it's time to let him go.

"Once the family releases him, the people of South Africa will follow. We will say thank you, God, you have given us this man, and we will release him, " said South African Activist Andrew Mlangeni.

Mandela is 94.

Nelson Mandela returns to hospital


 Nelson Mandela returned to the hospital for a recurring lung infection on Wednesday night.

The Former South African President spent 19 days in the hospital last year while suffering from a lung infection and undergoing a gallstone removal surgery.

David Zuma, South Africa's current President, released a statement, saying :

"We appeal to people of South Africa and the world to pray for our beloved Madiba and his family and to keep them in their thoughts. We have full confidence in the medical team and know that they will do everything possible to ensure recovery."

Mandela is 94.

Nelson Mandela turns 94



Civil Rights Icon Nelson Mandela turned 94 on Wednesday.

Mandela, who was South Africa's first black president, will spend his birthday with his family in Qunu.

While Mandela celebrates privately, the world is celebrating in a big way.

Over 10 million South African children sung Happy Birthday to the anti-apartheid icon.

U.S President Barack Obama released a statement , saying: "Mandela has changed the arc of history, transforming his country, the continent, and our world."

Mandela fashion brand to premiere in the US



46664, a fashion label based on Nelson Mandela's plight against apartheid in South Africa, is set to premiere in the US.

The label, named after Mandela's Robben Island prison number, is aiming to make South African fashion worldwide.

The brand will launch on July 18, Mandela's 94th birthday.

Designer Chris Vogelpoel said: "The whole message about 46664 is to promote and sustain his legacy."
