Snoop Lion releases 'No Guns Allowed'

 Rapper Snoop Lion released his new single, 'No Guns Allowed,' on Wednesday.

The song, backed with reggae undertones, encourages listeners to abandon their weapons and to promote peace.

The single was featured in 'Reincarnated,' a film that focuses on the rappers' transition from dogg to lion.

Snoop spoke about his transition in an interview with the Associated Press.

"To me, the Lion is the growth of Snoop Dogg," he said. "Me growing into the next phase of my life . But at the same time I can never get rid of who I am. I am fast side Long Beach Rollin 203 Crip, first and foremost. I'm Snoop Doggy Dogg, then I'm Snoop Dogg, then I'm Snoop Lion. But it's all the same."

The 'Reincarnated' album will hit stores on April 23.
