Oscars hold Governor's Ball Preview

The Governor's Ball Red Carpet Preview was held on Thursday. 

After the Oscars on Sunday, Oscar nominees and winners will celebrate another year at the Governor's Ball. 

This preview, given to press each year, allows them to get the scoop on the events' amazing food, design and decor. 

Over 100 journalists and photographers, including myself, swarmed the red carpet anxious to preview world's biggest ball.

Once inside, journalists were immersed in Oscar glam. 

The world renowned chef Wolfgang Puck, Show Producer Cheryl Cecchetto, and Oscar card designer Marc Friedland were at their posts and ready to mingle.

Wolfgang Puck made an assortment of delicious dishes that left my mouth watering and wanting more. 

The menu for the Ball will include: 

- smoked salmon mousee
- prime mini burgers with cheddar cheese and remoulade
- spicy tuna tatare in sesame misocones
- The Patrón Gold Cosmopolitan
- Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes with Crème Fraîche and Ostera Caviar
- Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Black Truffles
-The Ultimat Blue Sunrise
- Edamame Guacamole
- Bacon wrapped Parmesan-stuffed dates
-Chinois lamb chops with cilantro mint
- Vinaigrette & Stir fried vegetables
- Wild mushroom risotto

My favorite from the menu was this smoke salmon statuette (below):

Another tasty part of the preview was the delicious drinks prepared by Patrón and Ultimat Vodka, Sterling Knight, and Thiènot. 

Patrón and Ultimat Vodka will create custom cocktails for the event. 

Sterling Vineyards will create this years' featured wine. 

While, Thiènot will act as this years' exclusive champagne.

Even though the food looks and tastes delicious, let's not forget about the amazing Oscar envelopes. 

Card Designer Marc Friedland was on deck for the preview, showcasing some of his best work. 

He even created some Bingo Oscar games for at-home Oscar celebrations. 

Governor's Ball producer Cheryl Cecchetto was showcasing her best as well.

The big day goes down on February 24, 2013 at 7 pm ET on ABC.
