Sports artist LeRoy Neiman dead at 91

LeRoy Neiman, the painter who documented some of the world's biggest events by way of canvas, is dead.

Neiman painted musicians, politicians, Playboy models, and even Olympiads.

"It's athletic excellence, action,color, and drama that peaks my interest," he said."I've met and sketched most of the great athletes from the past five decades and their movement, grace, and energy has captured me over the years. That's what the ancient Greeks first saw and that's what caught my interest."

He was 91.
