Olsen twins win big at CFDA Awards
The CFDA Awards premiered online on style.com on Tuesday.
Each year, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA) bring together the best fashionistas to honor their contribution to American fashion.
Comedian Seth Myers hosted the show and took a stab at clowning fashion's biggest names, including John Galliano and Marc Jacobs.
The big award winners of the night were Tommy Hilfiger, Rei Kawakubo, Johnny Depp, and the Olsen Twins.
Tommy Hilfiger won the Geoffrey Beane Lifetime Acheivement Award and was commended for his hilarious imitations of the rich and famous.
"As long as you're not imitating me, we're all good," said Anna Wintour as she presented him with the award.
Filmmaker John Waters accepted awards for Johnny Deep, who won the style icon award , and Rei Kawakubo, who won the international award.
While accepting the style icon award for Johnny Depp, he joked, "This man can't look ugly no matter how hard he tries."
Waters also praised Rei Kawakubo for her creative yet controversial designs for label Comme de Garcons despite them being, 'a disaster at the dry cleaners.'
The biggest award of the night was given to child actor turned fashion designer twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. They accepted the award for their collection, The Row.
"I'd like to thank you – you," said Mary Kate as she turned to her twin business partner, Ashley.
