Mormons march in Utah Gay Pride Parade

Over 300 Mormons marched in the Utah Gay Pride Parade in Salt Lake City on Sunday.

The group, Mormons Building Bridges, wanted to show love for the gay community.

Dustin Lance Black, an award-winning screenwriter, tweeted, "In tears. Over 300 straight, active Mormons showed up to march with me at the Utah Pride Parade in support of LGBT people."

Ericka Munson, founder of Mormon's Building Bridges, reflected on the groups decision to participate.

"We want to inspire other Mormons at the local level to do things for their LGBT brothers and sisters," she said.

The group plans to march again next year.
