'Family Feud' host Richard Dawson dies

Richard Dawson, the original host of Family Feud  died after having complications with esophageal cancer on Saturday.

Dawson's son, Gary, announced his father's passing in an online statement.

"He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting grandfather," he said.

Dawson is most known for his stint on Family Feud and Hogan Heroes.

He was 79.
