Bee Gees co-founder Robin Gibb dies

Bee Gees co-founder Robin Gibb passed away on Sunday after battling colon and liver cancer.

He died with his wife and 3 children by his side in a London clinic.

Celebrities held a moment of silence for Gibb at The Billboard Music Awards to honor the fallen legend.

His family released a statement on the late singer's death.

"The family of Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery," a rep said. "The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

He was 62.
