Fashion journalist Anna Piaggi dies

Fashion journalist Anna Piaggi died on Tuesday.

Piaggi, who was an editor at Italian Vogue, was known for her blue hair and eccentric hats.

She served as a muse for Karl Lagerfeld, Milliner Stephen Jones, and Manolo Blahnik.

New York Times Photographer Bill Cunningham said : "Fashion, which often parades as art, can genuinely be called an art form as seen on Ms. Piaggi. She creates her own special environment, and it's not meant to be imitated."

The 81-year-old left behind over 2,000 dresses and a legacy that proves that style really does last forever.
