Texas challenges 1965 Voting Rights Act

Texas' controversial challenge to the 1965 Voting Rights Act heads to court today.

The trial, Texas v. Attorney General Eric Holder, asks the court to approve Texas' Voter ID law that requires voters to have a government issued ID to vote.

Republicans say the law will prevent voter fraud, while Democrats say the law will block poor and minority voters.

The trial will end on Friday.
