Sherman Hemsley of the 'The Jeffersons' has died

Sherman Hemsley, the man who played George Jefferson on the 'The Jeffersons, has died.

Hemsley splashed onto American TV screens with 'All in the Family' before starring in his own hit TV series, 'The Jeffersons.'

His cause of death is unknown.

He was 74.
