Bosnia's Sarajevo Film Festival takes off

The 18th Sarajevo Film Festival starts on Friday with Cannes Festival winner, "Children of Sarajevo".

The nine day festival , that began in 1995, was founded in an attempt for normalcy in a corrupt region.

Here's what festival organizers had to say about the event:

 Today, [the] Sarajevo Film Festival is the main crossing point for all authors and producers from the region, and among film professionals from around the world is regarded as the ultimate place to share information, and ideals, as well as the opportunity to get acquainted with what the film industry in the region has to offer. (Source)

The festival will feature 210 films from over 50 countries.
