Pakistani doctor convicted for helping in Bin Laden raid

Shakil Afridi, the doctor who helped the CIA find Osama bin Laden, was sentenced to 33 years in prison on Wednesday.

Alfridi ran a vaccination program to collect DNA and verify Bin Laden's presence in Abottabad.

He was detained after the raid and was later tried in Khyber, where he was raised.

U.S. officials have expressed concern over Afridi's sentence and are working on ways to get him released.

Talat Masood, a defense analyst, said, " If things go well with the U.S., it's very likely he will be pardoned."
